Real Estate Services

Hi. Welcome to my blog. I am Brenda Jolly and I am a real estate agent serving buyers and sellers in Knoxville and the surrounding counties of East Tennessee. I am married to my best friend and I have two grown children. I have a beautiful daughter-in-law and a son-in-law who is like my own and shares my love for fishing. I am also blessed with a precious grandson. He is such a joy to our family and I can assure you my posts will include a few tidbits and an occasional photo of him.

I have been a Realtor® since July 2007. I have endured the hardest years in the real estate industry and have enjoyed meeting and helping buyers and sellers from all over the United States with their real estate needs. I treat each person I meet the way I want to be treated. I am a very sensitive to peoples wants and needs both spoken and those I discover as I get to know them. I use that information to help my buyers find the best possible property available for them within their budget. I will never try to oversell a buyer beyond their means. One reason I decided on a career in real estate is because of the way I was treated and how it made me feel when I was in the market looking for a home for myself. It seemed agents never answered their phones nor did they bother to return phone calls. If I did finally reach one, several just blew me off and seemingly did not have time for me or my questions.  I found myself wondering how they made their living. I also told myself that I could probably make a living if I just answered my phone calls and provided my customers with good service and treated them with respect. That was partially true. I was naive about how hard it was to get started as a new agent. The real estate business is very competitive and those agents who never seemed to answer their calls had plenty of the market share of buyers and sellers. Real Estate is a very social business.

Starting out as a new agent in a declining real estate market just after the biggest housing bubble in history burst, I realized an online presence was essential because of all the technology advancements. People were going online to find their next home. They were calling the agent they found online to show and sell them a home. Because of this I dug in and taught myself as much as I could about how to develop an online presence so I could be the agent they found in East Tennessee. I wasn't the most prominent agent online but I had enough business to keep me in business. As previously stated I have helped buyers and sellers all over the United States as far as California, Michigan, New York, Florida and other states with their real estate needs since 2007. The majority of my customers found me and my listings online.

If you hire me, what can you expect?  Honesty. Integrity. Respect. I promise to always keep your best interest above everything else. I will always show you any and every available property. As a Buyers Agent I will never ask you to pay me a commission. I will only take the cooperative commission offered by the Seller and Seller's Agent. If you are not happy with me I will not force you to continue working with me just because you have signed a contract with me as your "Designated Buyers Agent". I promise to represent you to the best of my abilities ensuring a smooth process from the offer to a successful closing . I have competent colleagues in the mortgage industry, title searches and closers, home inspectors, pest control, structural engineering, appraisal services and surveyors, plumbers, roofers, and other service professional who have provided services to past clients. I also subscribe to DocuSign for e-signing sales contracts and documents online for the convenience of my clients. This comes in handy for out of state clients and busy clients who may not have time to schedule a formal meeting.

As your Seller's Agent I will do everything I can to get the best price for your property and get it sold as quickly as possible. After all I don't make a single penny until I sell your property. When we meet I will provide you with an opinion of a price that your property may sell for. I realize you may not agree with my recommended price and may want to list it at your price. I will do that but you must understand that it may result in a longer time on the market, may get very few or no showings or interest from potential buyers and eventually become a stale listing or bring less $$$ when finally sold. I will advertise it in local print ads at least one time at your price but if buyers show no interest, all future marketing will be online which is more cost effective. I will contact you or my showing service will contact you for showings. I will communicate showing results to you promptly when we have showings with cooperation of the showing agents. If I am unable to get feedback I will let you know that as well. I will not call you every week if nothing is going on but I will contact you and review pricing strategy from time to time and stress the importance to correctly pricing to the market. Once we receive an offer I will call you and we will meet and go over the offer documents. If you live out of state I subscribe to DocuSign that allows for electronic signatures and we can go over documents by phone. I also can use DocuSign for local clients who may not have the time to schedule an in person meeting. Commission fees are negotiable and I am always cooperative in doing the right thing to make a close deal work for both buyer and seller.

If you need an agent please feel free to call or email me anytime. I can be reached directly at (865) 898-7896 or by email at bgj31054@bellsouth.net
